Finally got to Jackie's Dream to eat. It's a small soul food place in North Knoxville. We went in and took a seat and Derana waited on us. We got some of the sweetest sweet tea I ever drank but it was seriously good. I got a breast and a wing meal. The chicken is made fresh so it's about 15 minutes to get it but so worth the wait. The breading is top notch and very flavorful. I picked the skin and breading off of every crevice I could get my fat finger in on the breast. It's incredibly hot and juicy upon delivery and steam rolls out of it as you go to town on it. The wing is equally phenomenal and so tasty. It's hard to wait for it to cool it's so dang good. The okra is next level! A salty thick breading on fresh flavorful okra. Truly a southern delight. The mac & cheese is exactly what it should be in soul food joint. Cheesy creamy macaroni goodness. Lastly a big hunk of warm southern corn bread. When I was done the only thing left on my plate was a chicken skeleton. Unfortunately to full for dessert but next time I'm getting a banana pudding. My fiancee and kids were all very satisfied with their meals. The kids loved the mac & cheese. It was an exceptional dining experience and absolutely worth a visit. A lot of food and very reasonably priced. Jackie is very sweet and checked on us. Very nice to our kids. It's really a hidden gem in North Knoxville.

My bonus daughter took the girls for lunch and it was amazing! She actually went to school with Jackie and her dad coached her brother. I felt like I knew Jackie without meeting her. When we arrived there's plenty of parking and the location is perfect. Once inside we were greeted with a beautiful smile and seated. A very pleasant young lady came over immediately to take our drink orders. Gave us time to look over the menu and didn't rush us. After taking our order, the food came out fast hot and delicious! We were checked on regularly. Jackie took time out of busy schedule to drop by our table and chat. It was definitely a pleasure! What a wonderful dinning experience we had, could have sat there fellowshipped for hours I definitely recommend giving Jackie's Dream a try YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED! Jackie thank you and Bless You for having the dream and walking by Faith! You are such a Blessing to All! May God continue Blessing and Keeping you, your family and work family! To the crew Bless you All for showing up to work and being a Blessing not only to Jackie but to all that enters take outs etc. I pray God continues blessing Jackie's Dream all those involved and the many shoes that walked the floors of Jackie's Dream!

We arrived just as they opened at 11:00 and ordered food to go since we were on our way to the zoo. We waited about 15 minutes for freshly made home cooked fried chicken meals. Got in the car to head to the zoo, and it smelled so good I couldn’t resist snacking on the fried okra right away. We ate the rest in the car and it was delicious! Best fried chicken I’ve had in years! Wish we lived in the area.

I ordered takeout for lunch and got the leg and thigh meal. That was easily the best fried chicken I’ve ever had in my life. The staff were also super friendly and helpful and had my order out very quickly. Best of all you can’t beat the price! I only paid $12 for what would likely be close to $20 anywhere else. I will most definitely be returning with friends and family in the future!

Absolutely loved our service and food. We got the Shrimp platter. The shrimp were crispy and battered perfectly. For sides we got mac&cheese and collard greens. Mac and cheese were both macky & cheesy we just needed to add a little bit of salt and we were good! I next plate was the Wing plate. I got 4 well seasoned crispy wings. My sides were cabbage which had a nice sweet taste to them and white beans. White beans are smaller than butter beans and very similar in texture and taste. We had cornbread with both. I was expecting more of a Jiffy cornbread but it gave me more of a hot water type corn bread, not as sweet as I desired and I had to dip it in the cabbage and collard green juice to soften it. None the less everything tasted good. And we had an order of French fries. They were crispy on the outside and soft inside. We will definitely eat there again!

It was my first time at Jackie's Dream and I went for lunch with a friend on a Friday. He got the fried catfish special and it was crispy and delicious. I got the buffalo sandwich which I also enjoyed. Over all the experience was good. Not too busy but busy enough to know the food is good.

We found Jackie's through maps navigation. We are visiting from out of state and landed at Knoxville airport and we were hungry. Jackie's is about 20 minutes from the airport. We pulled in and the parking lot and it was full, good sign! We ordered fried green tomatoes for an appetizer while we studied the menu we ended up ordering, fried shrimp, famous fried chicken, tilapia, mac n cheese, potato salad. Everything was so delicious!!! The corn breading on the fried green tomatoes and tilapia was fantastic. It was so good that we had to order dessert. The chocolate cake was the best we ever had, so moist! Excellent service from Shay also!
